Rear Projection - Special type of screen?

I'm looking to buy a used Rear Projection TV to use the screen from it but they seem rather flimsy. Is there an alternative that I can use and would I get a clear image with a substitute?

If you have not got one, try the sticky films on perspex or glass. May have the same effect. Not sure, havn't tried it myself but just a thought.

Perpex would also be flimsy. I think glass is the way to go and the picture will also look better.
